Sorry, but I don't get the point of the flight simulator.  Flying around in an open field?  There has to be more to it that I can't see.  (Not the first time!)  Is there a tutorial or could someone point me in the right direction please?

I think there is a simulator which shows you how to use the simulator.

But, no it's pretty basic, just get you off the ground and basic controls. Other drone sims can be downloaded for more advanced things

For ultimate SIM see www.realflight.com with their X version being the best, but a beast of a computer is needed.
Otherwise version 7.5 is very good...
I run realfight 6.5 and realflight Drone. Both are quite decent. Indeed.

If you read his post he/she has figured it out, it's just there's not much to it. As there is no manual for the sim he/she probably didn't know if there were different locations, conditions, or fun things to do with it. The answer is no, it's an empty field with some basic features.

There really isn't much to the simulator on the DJI Go app. It just gives you an open virtual space in order to use the basic flying controls or play around with the other intelligent flight modes without literally taking off. It's more or less simulateing basic LOS flying.
