Battery
What should I drain the battery to every flight? At what percent should or can I use the Battery to Power Bank Adaptor with the Combo Package?
Controller

What is the proper way to install the Micro to Micro USB wire? Also, which slider should I use for it?

If the propellers are marked or scratched a little should we replace them, or after how many flights/hours of flight should we replace them?

Thanks in advance for any input and answers.

KevDrones,

Battery
You can fly the Mavic Pro down to the LOW BATTERY WARNING if your flight/mission requires. If you're just flying, then fly it down to 50% as this is the best storage charge for LIPO batteries. As background, The Mavic Pro Intelligent Flight Battery Safety Guidelines v1.0 Guide PDF is available to download from here. It provides the following general guidance:

General aviation has always had the concept of a mandatory fuel reserve. Likewise, DJI sets a default LOW BATTERY WARNING @ 30% fuel remaining and CRITICAL LOW BATTERY WARNING at 10% fuel remaining. The guidance above recommends landing as soon as possible when you receive the 30% warning.

Both of these warnings can be adjusted if your flight/mission requires modification or you desire to give yourself additional fuel availability buffer.

Typical LIPO batteries generally perform poorly below the 30% level. Particularly when they are cold or you place then under demanding power requirements such as full throttle or rapid flight movements. Typical LIPOs sag in current during these demands for power. DJI factors in power controls in this flight regime to reduce power demands to minimize these sags. But the tradeoff can be reduced performance and slower or less reaction from the aircraft.

Some general battery guidlines from the documentation include:
  • Always fly with a completely charged battery -> 100%.
  • Do not recharge your batteries immediately after a flight if they are warm or hot, wait until they have cooled down.
  • The battery prefers a charge of 40-65% if it will NOT be used before it starts automatic discharge which defaults to 10 days. This can greatly extend battery life!

The Mavic Battery to Power Bank Adaptor is designed to provide power from the Mavic Intelligent Flight Battery to mobile devices such as smart phones or tablets. Use the Mavic battery as a power pack to charge mobile devices using the remaining battery level in the battery pack. You should safely be able to used the battery as a power pack down to the 10% CRITICAL LOW WARNING level. If you absolutely must, you could push it down to 5% power. This is the transport level of the battery and I don't think it should be depleted below that level.

There are several videos of Mavic flights with intensional prop damage that show that the Mavic Pro is a very hardy aircraft. However, prop connections to the motor are critical. So periodically check the prop mounts for any signs of wear or damage. Cosmetic marks and scratches are ok, but examine them for cracks or fractures. Props cost little compared to your investment in the Mavic Pro, so use common sense. Examine them regularly and replace them when you feel they need replacement.

Good luck, and always fly safely.
