Hii all .....I now have a p4.  Love it, but I am using DJI GO,  what does GO4 have that GO doesnt?

You need to use GO4 APP to protect your warranty and it was deisgned just for the P4 and the MAVIC.

Reall?  The Go works great.  Are there othe benefits to the go4?

I think if you upgrade your FW you will be forced to use GO 4. I didn't note any real difference between the two.

The older version of Go isn't going to be updated with new features and fixes while Go 4 will be.

I never upgrad FW.  Aint broke dont fix it

BFD300   your a smart man I updated only because the darn thing made me. Now I have issues with the app crashing,

I learned not to upgrade the hard way with my p3a.

Yeah, I tried to update but was told would not work on my iPad.  I switched to Litchi and love it.  It is certainly more stable and great features.  $23 is not a bad price to pay considering it will be running on a $1,000 drone.  
Give it a try, I never looked back after I switched.

GO 4 can not connect to any model below P4.

And the new version of GO 3 will not connect to P4 or higher.

I always used GO 3 to run my P4, over 200 flights in past year. I tried GO 4 when first released a few months ago  but it was unstable, froze a lot. So quit using 4 and kept on using 3.  With latest updates GO 3 now says I have to use GO 4.  GO 4 freezes every time I use it, usually within the first 3-4 minutes.  Now I am unable to use my P4 as there is no stable and compatible version of Go 4.  

My display/app host is a Nexus 7 (2013) running Android 6.0.1

What back round task are running in your Nexus? That model has a quad core cpu. Are you using this tab for flying only or for more other?
