I know that, but you don't need to pick up your temp certificate in person. You place an online application on IACRA website and then download it whenever it becomes available. At least this is how it works at my neck of the woods.

yes  if you want to wait or just drop by eh FSDO  you still have to fill the IACRA form   and go in with ID    and you get your temp right there     your going to have to show ID to someone weather it be a Fed or designator

Oh, well, that should be easy enough to pass then...

I don't think that much just basic vfr stuff for us in the US  you if your a pilot already you can go to the FAA website its faasafety.gov  and they have about a 1 course you take and then the test   there are a few drone related questions that it helps to take the course      its been a long time since I have even looked at a vfr chart   I haven't flown on a vfr flight plan in 30 yrs lol
