Hey all,
I am new into video post processing. I started of by shooting on my p4 pro using "No color". But after doing some research there was a lot of advice shooting in d-log mode and then applying color corrections using LUTs in post processing. So purchased powerdirector which had a deal going on and want to experiment with D-Logs. My questions are
1) To apply LUTs do I have to shoot in D-Log only?
2) where can I get LUTs for phantom 4 pro D-Log?
3) Is there a recommendation on a LUT for movie like effect?

Thanks
PHK

ad1. It is possible to apply LUTs to non d-log footage as well, but the results may be not as expected
ad2. I believe DJI is working on the specific LUT for P4P. Right now they have it available for P4, so I assume the one for P4P will be coming soon. However, you are not limited to LUTs offered by DJI of course. You can find many free LUTs online, some of them will work with P4P d-log footage pretty well. You can also create your own LUTs.
ad3. This is a very broad topic, you can do some research online. There are many cinematic looks, which could be applied to d-log footage with LUTs.

By the way, you don't need any LUTs at all to nicely color grade your d-log footage. Take a look at this thread, which includes a tutorial: https://forum.dji.com/thread-79473-1-1.html

You are very welcome.

If your intention is to color grade any footage, which wasn't shot as log, or flat you should consider the Rec 709 or Rec 2020 LUTs.
If the footage is log then use LUTs created specifically for log footage.

Thank You Sir. Any good URL's to download free LUTs for D-Log?

There are many websites offering free LUTs. You can check https://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/29-free-luts-for-video/ for example.
You can also create your own LUTs, either in Premiere Pro, or even Lightroom, which is not so complicated.
