This is what the Osmo mobile looks like with my iPhone 7 plus attached and the arm fully extended.

I've read about extending the arm beyond the friction point, unscrewing the adjustment knob fully, pulling it all the way to a complete stop (goes "clack" at the end stop when pulling it)
But still not balanced. It's got a .3 mm tempered glass screen protecter attached, but no case.

Is it a faulty unit or what should I do?

normally once you on the osmo. it will auto set it to be in perfect manner.

Well, I CAN make it calibrate, but I'm worried about overstraining the gimbal motors.
From what I understand, others (DJIKen) can make an iPhone 7+ balance passively

I have my iphone 7 plus with the 3.5mm jack connected to Rode mic i have to extend the phone off a little and then counter balance the offset with a bag of coins. ...
I am hoping the DJI Osmo 2 will be iphone 7Plus friendly.

I def would calibarate it.

the glass screen protector should have no effect on the balancing of the left and right.
I would definitely contact customer service, Mine balances very well (although no glass protector) and sometimes forget that i actually have the unit turned off.

The gimbal could be balanced well with iPhone 7 plus. Please do not put any protector, extend the arm beyond the friction point, unscrewing the adjustment knob fully, pulling it all the way to a complete stop.
If the gimbal cannot be balanced, please post a short video here, we will help to double check, thanks.

Mine (7+) balance ok, but I have to remove the silicone protector.

Same here. It feels works better without the phone case / protector.

iPhone 7+ reporting in and have zero balancing problems. Pulled out the arm to it's max distance as described and achieved balance thereafter.

Question with the Iphone 7 +

I have this phoe and I use Filmic Pro. Each time i use the Gimbal and Filmic after a few second a lost the sound.......if i make a short movie like 3 minutes after max 1 minute the rest of movie cut the sound.
Another guy see it?

That would make sense as probably the iPhone was more tested without a case.
