I have a P4P and since it has a dual frequency remote 2.4 and 5.8GHz do anyone know of any kinda of range extender for this model yet?

all i can say is my argtek for p3 halfed my stock range. the dbs mod more than doubled it.. i rally cant see why the p3p and p4 are that different. no the RC's are not interchangeable but I can't see the antennas would not be

If you don't want to open up your transmitter, get a parabolic reflector. Cheap and it works.
