With the recent fire of a battery @ 30%, what does everyone think about storing these in metal ammo cans?

I read the flysheet that comes with the battery, and it does state to store in a ventilated area.

But if they burn your house down, you have not gained much by keeping them ventilated.

Thanks for any input.

I've seen ammo cans recommended.  However... it seems a non-ventilated ammo can causes the flames to shoot out...

Maybe cinderblocks would be better which I've seen suggested as well.  That way it would be ventilated.

I like the idea of a bag of sand overhead which would dump sand on the fire.
