Not really sure the early ones are the ones to beat though

I'm sure someone will get an earlier date, but again, is that a good thing ? although .. tbf i havent had an issue with mine, other than atti mode switching in sport mode (which i dont really use)

Yeah, think ours were the tail end when they started reducing the mag interference by twisting the wires to the rear. Least that's what I gathered from the mavicpilots forum. Earlier builds had that problem with dropping to atti.

But what's up with the videos on the forum lately.. Is that just bad focus or is it to do with the newer firmware? Seems like on my worst shoots, had better footage.

My aircraft was born on the 27th Feb 2017 but my gimbal is from 25th Oct 2016. Zero problems so far.

A Monday morning job should be good one, my first Mavic wasn't though... born on Monday 19th December 2016.

So much for theories.... more like a lottery

I ordered mine on December 17th and the Mavic was produced on Dec 31st but the battery was December 5th .  Received it on Jan 5th . My new battery that I purchased last week from the Ebay DJI store was made on Dec 19th . No issues as of yet , happy camper !

1st: 27 Oct 2016, returned for faulty gimbal (glitches and high frequency vibration)
2nd: 28 Dec 2016, returned for faulty gimbal (glitches)
3rd: 18 Feb 2017, in the process of returning for blurry lens and glitchy gimbal

From this very limited sample, I can see there no sign of improvement in the product or its quality control over the last 5 months.

Some people keep claiming on this forum that the vast majority of Mavic Pro are working well and their buyers are very happy of their product. I am asking them: what was the probability of me getting 3 faulty MPs if it was really the case?

Flies well but has been downgraded in terms of top speed during the last firmware. It also affects the ability and be in the same place under no stick condition and strong winds.    Camera seemed fairly well.  

I bought my Mavic late January 2017 there must be something wrong with DJI's logistics as the world clamoring for to purchase a Mavic before that time.     Perhaps it has come back to DJI because of errors and has been repaired ???     If .............. so it was not brand new when I got it.

It's probably the wrong bird the poor man had hand on. Has he read the text on the ring that sits on the leg of a pigeon ???  

May be they are made before it became left handed work.

14, FEBRUARY 2017........HAPPY VALANTINES TO ME!......

Now it all makes sense to me!   My first Drone I ordered on release day (sep 28 216 i think) and got it 11/27.  I crashed it in early january and sent it in for repairs (no DJI refresh so i paid out of pocket USD $165).

I sent it in with a broken gimbal and a banged up leg.  the repair report stated that these items were "replaced".  But when i got it back, it looked too new to me and so did the controller.    In the return box was a new charging cable, all new props and new controller cables  (which i did not sent the original back so now i have 2 of everything). it appears they sent me a whole new drone and new controller.   this one has a date code of Wednesday, December, 28th 2016

Great so far, the only issue i have ever had was it flicking to Atti mode on a sports mode flight ... never used sports mode since. (dont need it, its purely for filming ... I have mini racing quads for crazyness)

I don't  think you'll have any issues with Sport mode (it should have no impact on whether it switches to ATTI mode).  I fly sport mode a lot since I often need the extra speed to combat the winds in the mountains.

Monday, October, 17th 2016 so far no problems but i also havent flown much as im waiting for spring/summer
