Hey guys, one of our operators recently crashed our Inspire and this happened:
I've been trying to communicate with tech support to see if this part can be replaced, but no luck yet. Just a heads up to everyone out there that this part is cheaply made and could crack easily if hit hard enough!
This part came off for me too. Mine didn't snap though, but I think one of the screws holding it from the middle came off as well. The cable though that connects from the aircraft to the gimbal did come off, and parts of the plastic connection snapped. I'm not sure if the gimbal itself is damaged or not, didn't seem like it, there were no marks or anything.

Yea I've spoken to tech at DJI and they recommended sending the whole Inspire in. I'd prefer to get a brand new part myself, but they insist on installing it and testing the whole aircraft. Seems like a cheaply made part that would be way more bomber if made with more durable material!
I broke the same part, camera was the only thing that hit the ground vs breaking props etc. The part is #41 if you search various sites in the U.S. for DJI Inspire parts. Tried to order it yesterday and found everyone was out of stock (not delivered yet) and Amazon had someone that was asking 2X the price of everyone else. Just got a confirmation that the company who was delivering the Amazon part for twice as much also doesn't expect delivery until Mid April. I'm in the process of repairing the part and re-inforcing the structure. Wish me luck haha. If interested I'll follow up with how it worked or if it worked. Oh, yes, DJI wanted me to send it in for repair and who knows how long??
