Batteries* not Batterys. Also, why have two 3 batteries option?

ArtistFirst, you gotta be careful with charging the battery's right after flight.  Let them cool are battery damage could occur.

You are correct.

Depending on the whether and the length of flight I usually give the first battery in the cycle a good 15 minutes or more of rest.

It's not really fun to just keep sending the bird up then down then up then down. I'm usually busy with other things between flights. I take each flight as a mission when I fly a real craft and never just send it up but thank you for the correct advice. I should have been more clear.

I have only one battery but have been thinking to purchase an extra 2. They are rather expensive but I guess it's nothing compared to the P4 Pro at $289.00

I imagine everyone would suggest to get several batteries?

I have 4 of them, but i think its not enough.
I will get myself another 3 batteries, when i head to a national park where it is allowed to fly i hate it if i just cant make that shot.
Also a powerbank for charging the remote controller is in the backpack.

Limited to spare 2 batteries plus one on the drone when flying commercially so I have kept to 3. So far, this has worked for me.

I must say I love the red & black case you have.  Very sharp.

Thanks !
It is made by the brand HPRC, it is their stock 3500 backpack series with a Manic insert.
They also have it in gray like the Mavic gray!
It is ment for all stock DJI products, but i mostly lay the Polarpro filters and my Pelicase SD card holder on top of the foam and i close the case then.

Here a few other pics.

I use 9% controller battery with 1 mavic battery.
You might want to test it for yourself, charge the controller 100% and a 100% mavic battery.
When your mavic is running empty look on the controller how much battery is left .

I have a total of 5 batteries, mostly because that's what my case calls for. I haven't had enough time Tim to go through all 5, and the remote seems to go through about 25% per Mavic battery. Just today I experimented with running the remote off a USB auxiliary battery.  I've been using an iPad mini for all but one of the flights ive had time for. I need to make sure I have a screen that will last.

Hey, newbie here....first post.   Mainly for you folks with 4+ batteries..... Is the Mavic built to handle that much fly time in a day?  Is it ok to use an entire battery, land, put in a fresh battery, and take right back off?

I have 2 batteries and sometimes I wonder if I am flying the Mavic too hard when I use both batteries back to back.  Are there any guidelines on these topics?  Also does anybody have any information on longevity of these machines?   If they are like any other motors, they will have to be replaced at some point...

I feel like I just bought a Mercedes and I am probably overly careful about not putting too many miles on it!

Thanks in advance for your input.

I recently flew down to 20-30% five fully-charged batteries back-to-back twice in the same day and never noticed any sort of problem. I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Mavic is able to detect when it gets too hot and will tell you, but I've yet to see any kind of message to that effect so I think you'll be fine with two.

I have 4. Probably going to get a 5th since the remote has just about enough battery to fly thru 5 batteries before it needs to be charged as well

I've got 6, when I go fly I usually use all of them. I imagine if I had more I'd fly more. I think most people fly all their batteries when they go out, might as well make use of the time your out. I know I do.

Just  the three batteries for me at present. Weather conditions in the U.K. Often mean it's windy or rainy so negates the need for stock piles of batteries

yeah, same here. but im not sure yet. i fly a bit less as in the beginning. but on the other hand thats mostly a problem of the location. if i get to a new fancy location i might wanna have some more flight time.

I have four and that seems to be a good number for me.  When I fly, I will use all 4 battery's MOST of the time.

I have 4 but I also have a charger which can charge 3 at the same time.  The problem with the DJI powerbank is it will only charge one at a time.

3 from Fly More package.  One was defective and was replaced within a week.  Maybe I'm too cautious, but I rarely fly more than 15 minutes on each battery, and rarely more than 2 batteries per flying session around my neighborhood.

Chaser720.  MAKE SURE your NOT putting those battery's on your charger when they are hot/warm.  Let them cool down completely first.

That's a good point. Actually, the battery won't let you charge as long as it's warm. I once connected it to the hub right after a flight, and it was just blinking with 2 lights.
