He was flying his quad in a National Park in Spain and a ranger asked him to land it beacause it was a no fly zone. A Spanish TV station published his YouTube video in the news exagerating the facts and it all took huge proportions. The Spanish authorities tracked him and sent him a fine of 600 Euro!!!
This is f***ing ridiculous!!

Why, the guy can just stick to the rules. If you've seen his other videos you'll learn he preferred to live "over the edge" with his flight, if you understand.

Regards Leif.

His defense. I think he has a point:

Incredible. The point here is that there are a number of wrong accusations to him, which he rightfully rejects. Should he have flown there? No. Was there any risk or problem? Of course not.

Total disregard to the rules and when they get caught they come back and cry about it.

Careless people like this example is giving a bad name to every responsible pilot. They should be called out any time and anywhere.

He does do some good videos on YT, but as others have said - if you don't stick to the rules - then expect to get your hand slapped.

Is the fine a bit steep?  Of course.

Other side of the coin though is that he should have checked all the rules before going into that area.

His points are correct, but it still doesn't stop the fact that he broke the park rules.

He also has a responsibility to show good piloting and responsibility to other UAV pilots out there.

I'll give him his dues though - he seems to be continually pushing the boundaries of what his P4A can do.  Risky, but it's his drone.
