I recently fitted a set of catch handels to my I2. I got them from Secraft and made for the I1 but fit the I2 perfectly

I saw those on the Seacraft site.  Have you tried a hand catch with them yet?

Yes works perfectly i have done both land and takeoff with them, and very easy to fit on the I2. i inserted a small amount of electrical tape on the place i fitted them first.

If you buy from the web site its confusing as it says 1 but in fact its a pair.

Hi Dr. Jon,

I'm assuming you have a similar handle on the other side and you use both hands to catch? How do you power down with both hands in the air?
Can we see a video of you using them?

Thats exactly what I don't get completely. A demo video would be very nice.

Awesome!  Would love to see a video of these in action as well.  Helmet and gloves are definitely required I assume...

I hand catch the I2 like the I1, grabbing the battery area. Fine as long as the wind isn't too strong and one is on stable ground.

The camera man does the catching

If you look at the DJI web site the making of "circle" you will see it in action. It gives a great transition from flight to hand held mode.

When im on my own i simply do like you and grab the batts housing

I assume you are using this for neat cinematic effects and techniques...like coming in for a "landing" through an open door or something...where the camera transitions from inflight to ground operation?  Very cool indeed. I want to fly my Inspire 2 through a large window and have the operator grab the I2 and continuing.

I have used mine to be hand catch on a cruise liner and then continue to move in to the captains deck. The effect is fantastic makes you think your superman when you watch the clip.

Can anyone confirm that the weight of these is really under 40g per handle?
