When we buy a P4P, how can we find out the date of manufacture?

When we buy a P4P, we expect to receive a new unit. How do we know when it was manufactured? And it is not a reconditioned/refurbished unit.

I would have thought this information would be imbedded in the serial number ............ and, it may very well be. But, no one (primarily DJI) seems to want to divulge the information and I have no idea why they should be so secretive??
