Anyone knows if this bird is built on a DJI platform and if so, which one?

Well I do see a Naza V2 and a DJI Tuned Propulsion on it. I can't tell if it's a F450 center frame with modded arms (the arms are mods for sure), but it's similar.

It may be what they're aestetically trying to emulate with this DIY craft but with retractable landing gears. Having either an A3 or N3 flight controller, though, would at least allow some SDK capabilities like the M100 has but that's their choice.

It does look like a neat rig.
