What is the latest firmware update for the tx and aircraft? I'll be setting up a new P3 standard and wondering if updating is worthwhile.

The latest firmware version is V1.8.10, you can check the current firmware on "About" page through APP after all are connected properly.

I asked the guy on the online chat box yesterday that was unhelpful as a box of mad frogs, he didnt have a clue why it was there ! Lets see what DJi Natalia comes home with. My thinking is the firmware we have 1.8.10 is correct, But the 1/4/2017 they released a app that's doing some crazy stuff..... lets hope they Fix it soon

I downloaded this update (01.07.0800) and do not upgraded yet because the number is small than the last upgrade i have (1.8.10)... DJI please do not confuse us!

Sorry for the confusion caused, we should have made it more clear.
The firmware released on 04/01/2017 is to solve a problem that users failed to upgrade the firmware through DJI GO app ( There is a noticafication popping up on the screen to ask users to upgrade the firmware, while they keep failling to get it updated), then they can download this one and put the bin file into the SD card to upgrade the aircraft.
The latest one is V1.8.10, no worries.

If you already have the latest firmware installed, there is no need to download this one to upgrade it again.
You can check the current firmware version on the "About" page through DJI GO after all are connected properly.

My pleasure, hope you enjoy the flight and have great experience on it.

This upgrade was done via Go app for my P3S the save target of the latest FW  and log is the SD-card in camera. Can i move this bin-file to my PC or tab as backup? I ask only.
