Hi!

I have Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro and I use the latest DJI GO 4 app.

The problem is: "Offline maps" almost never shows up in menu.
I have installed offline maps for my country and they are working fine.

I also use HERE WeGo app on this phone (tried to unninstal it, but nothig changed for DJI GO app).

Any suggestions?

Hey Mindy,

Sorry to bother, but I had also an issue going on with offline maps.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and when accessing the offlinemap/mapmanagement. I have no way to update nor to interact with the options at the bottom, meaning that i cannot update the maps so I have to delete them and install again. This is not a big issue since the functionality is still there but, just wanted to let you know.

Thank you for trying to help. Unfortunately I have no another device to test with.
But I did some tests with this phone. It seems there is a better chance to get offline maps back to menu with WiFi turned off.

And in map management i can't interact with maps already downloaded to device.

I just tested with a NVIDIA Shield K and I can download offline maps.

You can remove them by swiping to the left the map file. It will show the trash can icon, but cannot interact with the menu's, meaning that in order to update have to delete and reinstall. This is what I had been doing to make it work, it's the only way to get any reaction on that sub-menu.

Thank you! Now I feel stupid, because I was trying to hold the finger on the map to bring the remove menu.
Ok, so I can remove installed maps, but I stil have the same problem as AACY (can not update installed maps). And "Offline maps" shows in menu only half times.

That's great you got it, tap Map Management then swipe left, then delete.
I;m not sure why you can't reinstall the map again.On my NVIDIA Shield K1 even if I delete a state, it's still gives me detailed map view.

Great! so now is just a matter of deleting the maps from time to time and installing again instead of updating. Normally I will do this every week, just to be sure that I have the latest.

Wondering why they don't add that option in IOS version.

I noticed, when updating everything this weekend, that the Offline Maps menu option came and went on my Android 6.0 7" tablet (Archos 70 Oxygen / Bush Spira R2). It seemed to be related to how connected the DJI Go 4 app thought it was. After restarting the tablet all was well for the time being.

On an related matter, my Epson BT-300 version of DJI Go 4 doesn't see maps outside Chine (online or offline). I reported it to dev@ (as I was told to in the past by support@) but they said they only deal with SDK issues, so I've punted it back to support@ in the hope that whoever gets my ticket even understands what a "DJI Go 4" is, let alone an Epson BT-300... sigh

I am having the same problem where the DJI Go 4 app doesn't give me the option to download maps.  (Iphone 6)

My e-mail got a reply:

Thank you for contacting us regarding the maps issue on the DJI Go App. DJI and Epson are currently aware of the issue and both teams are currently working to resolve this. The DJIGo app caters to multiple different platforms and devices on both iOS and Android and is not specifically optimized for the Moverio BT-300’s. With that said, we’re working on different solutions to be able to support offline/online maps on the Moverio. I’ll make sure we keep you updated as we approach a solution.

It was confirmed that this is somehow related to a missing or different Android API as the BT-300 doesn't have the non-AOSP parts of the Google stack,

Is this an android only feature?

I contacted Epson and it seems DJI is working on the issue..can a mod confirm this?
Problem is that Here maps process does not run (on the bt-300) just amap is running and it's useless since we cannot download other maps into this than china.

Update: Info from EPSON is that DJI will not solve it. Epson's " solution " is not going to be soon either. Please see this page to get HERE maps working on the BT300.

LG G2 had maps until firmware update.  No online maps now.  Also, only China city maps are available in the download list.  I am in the US.  Now what?

Same issue : no "offline map" menu displayed.

Same here with two different device (OnePlus3 and Huawei M3) Both devices are Nougat 7.0 and with latest DJI GO 4 app.
I have seen offline maps menu before, on the older app version.

I went back to version 4.1.3 and the offline map menu came back. So the problem is with version 4.1.18.
