I've just bought an Inspire 1 with 4 batteries and two controllers on ebay and a thought has just occurred to me.  When you get a new DJI craft it needs to be activated from within the app on its first use, what happens if you're a second owner of a craft?  Will it ask me to activate or not?  Will I have to "deactivate" it from the previous owner?

Once it's activated, it cannot be deactivated by the user as the activation also marks the beginning of its warranty period. If you sell the unit to another person, they would just log into their own DJI account and any flight records will be recorded as theirs. The initial owner's activation information, however, would remain internally.

Ah ok so it's not going to be a problem and won't stop me flying then.

I can't wait to get my new X5 camera mounted on it and airborne!
