Hi,

is the limitation of 64GB a software issue which can be fixed by firmware-upgrade? Or is it a kind of hardware limitation? Or has the limitation already gone?
Has anyone tested larger SD cards?

You are able to put a larger card in the Mavic and it will still record, its just recommended to use 64GB Card. But lots of people use 128GB with no problems.

I'm using Sandisk 128GB - without any problems... so don't know where is (if there is) the real limitation for SD.
Just remember to buy proper sd card which can write with the speed that mavic saves video.

The reason ( I believe ) DJI only recommends up to 64Gb is because the DJI GO4 app only has a Maximum
Video cache of 16GB

I use a Sandisk Extreme Plus 128GB with zero issues.

Video cache with DJI GO app is not related by any way to SD card you use with Mavic. Video cache is just for local storage on your phone/tablet.

Thanks for the heads up Info -- I thought it did cause when I turned off the setting in the remote, my Video's
would Lag very bad and the cache only go's up to 16GB in the remote.

Only ever noticed that when card is fairly empty, the time estimation on the DJI Go APP show "99:99" time left, until it gets low enough and then counts down..

Im using 64GB cards, I have 3. Im not petting all the eggs in one basket. Just saying... Even those pesky 32GB cards are almost finne. Mavic flies 25 minutes on 1 battery and you still need to change battery after it's empty.

Thank you all for your reply! This has helped me a lot :-) I have decided to buy one 64 GB card for now, because with 3 batteries I can not fly that long to full fill the whole SD card. For my vacation later this year I consider buying a 128 GB card to have some puffer if I cannot empty the card during my trip.
