I've heard of several people who have been having similar issues but I did performed the latest firmware update, following all the instructions put out by DJI.  I had success updating the aircraft but when trying to update transmitter, I get a txt file that reads:

========== 2014.01.01 00:00:30 unsynchronized ======
Packet: WM610_FW_V01.02.00.17.bin
Result: Abort.
The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the aircraft.


In addition, the transmitter will not connect to the aircraft, no matter what I try.  
This is frustrating to say the least.  

Has anyone else had this issue?  Were you able to remedy?  If so, how?  Thank you.

The result on your transmitter(TX) indicates that is is updated.
Try rebinding your TX to the Craft
