No idea what firmware is on this Mavic, but I'm pretty sure it's not an official DJI firmware. However, I do wish that DJI would update the firmware to allow for us to switch to ATTI mode manually, instead of only switching automatically when there isn't enough GPS..
After re-watching the video, it seems that the guy switched the Mode button on the right to Sports mode, then did a quick 3 time switch from Sports to P-Mode and Sports before getting to this "acrobatic" mode.. Anyone up for trying it?
Any Thai members here can help us to translate what he's saying?
Hmm.. I don't know if it's fake. When the goggles come out for fpv flying..... this is a mode you would want to be in... so I would think a 3 click acro mode could be very plausable.
This is how I look at it. You buy a Mavic not for it to be able to fly like a race drone but because of its portability and it quality video and photo capabilities. It is a camera rig. If you want something that flips and rolls and does crazy stuff then go out and buy a race drone. They are meant for that and they are 'made' to be crashed. The arms and other components are relatively inexpensive when compared to the Mavic or Phantom.
I think the gimbal could handle it. I have a rear camera installed, get to see how the quad actually handles in sport mode and the gimbal gets slammed plenty hard imo.
I'm pretty sure the guys at dji have mavics pimped out into race quad / p4p hybrids. I mean why not?

I believe it's possible. If you took that 20 some minutes of sports mode and expended the batteries in 5 minutes that's what you'd get. My 3D single rotor helis only get 5 minutes and they show that kind of power to weight ratio. If the battery, ESC and motors could handle the heat and it the rest was structurally sound at those g forces, then it's only a software switch from possible imo.
