I bought a Mavic Pro as my first drone.  Lots of fun!  Then I discovered an issue in my first hour.

Anywhere from 60 to 100 feet away (horizontal or vertical) I start getting "Weak RC signal - adjust antenna", then I got "lost connection".

Things I tried:
• changing antenna position
• changing controller position
• disabled "beginner mode"
• get away from houses
• try other locations
• put phone in airplane mode

During a lengthy support chat with DJI he had me:
• reset the RC
• relinked the RC
• recalibrated RC
• refresh RC firmware
• refresh Mavic firmware

Finally DJI told me it needs to be sent in for repair.  He said it would take 10-15 business days for a repair.  I had purchased Mavic Care Refresh, but I would still be without my brand new (first ever) drone for up to 3 weeks!

I told him that I am just going to return it to Amazon and get a replacement quicker.

He said, "You can do that."
