I am trying to create something as simple as an aircraft icon (arrowhead) moving across an aerial image i.e. google earth. I would like to synch the google earth video, with edited video from P3. to give positional info in regards to footage shot. I was given a homebrew tool that converts GPX to GE file, but I cannot get a .csv, or.kml to convert and properly work in the homebrew tool I have.

I need one of two thing:

A way to convert the dji logs to .gpx so my tool will work.

Or, I need a a new tool that can take my DJI logs in one form or another and display a real time moving map, that I can create an edited video of a synched map with the camera footage.

Thank you,

You might take a look at Dashware

it's my understanding dashware utilities cannot display google maps or any other geo-located map as a background. it seems to only show the path the imported kml follows.

That's right.  So you'd have to display the appropriate google map into the video in advance before you use dashware.  Then overlay the route on top of that.  It would be very difficult and time consuming.  :-D
