Interesting approach. They first put the drone on a dolly and wheeled it around until it took off.
Also, they slowed the music to half speed so they could speed up the final so it stays in sync but also has fast and sharp movements.
Very cool! Couldn't do it without massive corporate sponsorship like Honda, that would have cost a bomb to organize!
Very observant gents!!
I know using the drone on a dolly is the bomb Jim you pegged it as we have a all in one production house. Sad how Marketing ruins everything ,but the essence of creativity still screams out sure gets the wheels turning doesn't it.
Inspire 1 can really do it all if used in this fashion .I too thought this was impressive always liked stop frame animation to some degree and this is along those line. I went to school in the analog age for film I am easily impressed by the Brave new digital world .
Some here is going to gleam idea's from this I hope
You can almost hear the wheels turning right now amongst those who have watched this.
Bet a few have sketched a launch=able dolly for their Inspire 1 already !
There is a market for a drone universal dolly isn't there Looked like they shot this with a DJI s1000 .
You know it!! That's intense direction .
Why do I have the feeling we have massive talent like this in house here on this forum!
If I had to do it all over Id go to film school and be a UAV Operator in a heart beat.. Imagine the locations, and the great pay!
You younger guys out there do this you'll live a life most dream of.
I was thinking CGI at the end of this video to a major degree ,but it wasn't..An army of those things!!
One would swear that was all GGi at the end of this video now I'm more blown away!!
They even have a simulator on one of the connected pages so you can create your own aerial graphics
Very informative great info concerning this shoot must have been a blast to shoot that though.
Mind blown with idea's using the inspire on a dolly!
Next question what 2 way radios wont mess up transmission with our birds if one was to film something like this direct comm is essential.
click these links for details Jim went right to them ..like a hot knife thru butter.
