Flawless upgrade from .0500 to .0700 through the DJI Go 4.0.8 app (have intentionally kept away from .0550 and .0600 after reading all the upgrade issues, but 0.700 seemed to get better response, so I gave it a go).

Had a couple of flights yesterday, also without problems. Got "Wheel Err" for 1 second the moment I touched the gimbal wheel for the first time, but this seems to happen after every upgrade, and then I never see it again.

Might be my imagination, but it seemed to me as if it was initiating RTH a bit faster, after disconnect.

I followed your instructions precisely, even cleaned the registry of DJI leftovers and it failed twice, (I now have 3 DJI accounts..) then i did everything again on a different PC and it went up to 78% and then bang, fail . sigh. i will keep trying anyway, doesnt cost me anything. ill try on a mac and on a different pc. hopefully at one point it will work..I have the feeling I have something hardware related.

78% seems for me like you try to upgrade your Mavic via RC connected to your Assistant 2?

I have connected only the Mavic and updated the RC afterwards. But if you have done this, you got further than before. Don't give up trying. If you can switch your batteries after each try and make  sure they are above 80%. Maybe this will help.

DJI Natalia asked me to send her my DJI account mail via PM. Maybe they figured out something broken with our DJI accounts? Let's wait what she answers.

Here's my experience with .0700....

Uploading and updating all happened without a problem, about 15 minutes altogether, from the DJI GO 4 app, and a ipad mini 2. Turned off the AC and RC. Restarted. Gimbal overload warning. Gimbal lock is off. Gimbal has not done it's gyrations upon boot up. The camera is facing up. Turn off and start again. Same thing. Error. No gimbal gyrations. Camera facing up. Can I get the motor on and the props spinning? Pull the two sticks down and it starts up, and the gimbal moves, camera faces forward. Turn off. Turn on and gimbal goes through it's normal routine, no error message. Ready to fly....

BTW Why we dont have ANY interaction from DJI engineers in this thread? After we gave the company LOADS of our VERY hard earned money, I would expect at least some presence for heavens sake. Instead, total indifference.

Why don't you open a ticket at DJI, send it in and they will solve the issue for you. Takes probably 2 weeks, but when you get it back it works, instead of wasting time in the forum complaining.

The update came up on DJI Go iOS app on a 7 Plus on WiFi.
Started the upgrade, came back some time later to see the upgrade was completed successfully. No problems and very easy, as has occurred with 550 and 600.

Same here! Tried different ways - no success - Update stuck at exactly 57% as the one before. Then 2 reboots and a "update failed"-message :-(

A massive BOOO :-/ to DJI for not solving the upgrade issue for those who cannot upgrade from .0550. I had such high hopes that .0700  would solve the issue after so many reported an issue with .0600. Once again it stalled at exactly the same place, 74%, then reverted to .0550 (via Go4 app). Despite the hundreds of logs sent to DJI Mindy (or whatever your real name is) obviously nothing has been done to solve the problem. Stand by for a massive influx of returns to have this fixed! Very sad and disappointing. BTW, from Australia who pays for postage and insurance???

best i ever got is 78%. No rc connected, only mavic. I got a moment of excitement this morning when i did AGAIN the whole thing and after pulling battery it started to speed really quick towards the end but stopped again at 78%. Driving me nuts!!!

2 weeks ,lol. Well, thats what technical support forums are for, and trust me, after you spend 1400 EUR and in a week your item is not up to par and you are supposed to send it back in the middle of a project hearing horror stories of items sent back refurbished/not working after over 2 months , you go in the forum exhange experience and complain hoping somehow to fix it. This also stimulates companies to fix problems. If everybody sends back their items without providing insight and info there would just be a year waiting list to get your hardware back. And this is related to anything, not only drones.

sorry to say  after 5 day having my  new mavic & 5 days trying to update it i'm going to return it get my money back this not right I stick with Betaflight drone racing

Funny enough, as I have been racing drones for a long time, I have to say that that side of the drones world is so much more up to date and under control also because its often handled by us and open source projects. But I did not get the mavic for racing, i have other needs. Anyway I know that a really good service can be achieved. Look at Eagletree systems. The have really high-tech products and the support is great. Its just a question of internal management of companies. Thats why I am annoyed at DJI

Few things to try ....

Create a new user to login with on the "DJI Assistant 2"

Failing this try again on windows machine (install Assistant for the first time ever)  create a new user and update.

This worked for me after days of problems and being unable to update to .600. it also worked for another person i suggested it to.
I created a thread yesterday to which the DJI reps responded sayin to fire them a Private message with the error code and they will chnage some settings for your user ID, howver that thread seems to have gone it started with "@DJI" (they even thanked me for the support)

DJI GO 4 App Android : v4.0.7 is not working on my s8+

I had same issues as everyone else - migrating from .550 to .600

Now installing .700...

Got stuck at 99% (for a like 10 min) so restarted the drone and miraculously it moved from .550 to .600 (even though I was trying to migrate from .550 straight to .600 haha...). Anyway, second attempt to migrate from .600 to .700 took about 7 minutes and worked!!

No issues with updating the controller...

Will test the flight tomorrow.

I'm updating it straight from computer through the DJI Assistant 2 (using Mac)

My DJI Go 4 app (iOS) can't find the update. I'm on firmware 1.03.0600, but the app says it's the latest firmware. What gives?

Upgraded with my Ipad mini4 and all went well.  Flew for 10 mins and all working like it should.

Not flown yet, but it's the first update that completed without me interrupting it after 10 minutes at 99%. This could be also because I did it from my (non-flyable) Lenovo Yoga Book Android which recently got an update and the USB started working

I am still having problems connecting my Mavic to the RC if I were to reset them both back to factory settings and downgrade my firmware back to v01.03.0400  do I need to update all the firmware updates or can I jump to the latest version v01.03.0700

Updated from 600 to 700 in < 10 minutes using DJI Assistant 2 on PC using short (DJI provided) USB cable, MP and RC separate. So far no issues, all settings still there. MP born on march 23th 17.

I updated my two Mavic's at the same time via phone app and WiFi.  The winner was the Red one my 3 min.

cannot update to firmware v01.03.0700, stops at about 70% (same as with 0600) .
Tried fji assistant V1.1.0-2 and dji go 4.0.7 (257-gpPhone)

Please advise.

I updated my Mavic, RC, and the batteries updated (I guess the batteries did, since I didn't get a message on them).  Using "About"  on the menu I confirmed that the Mavic and RC are on .700 and my app is 4.0.7.   That's the good news.  The bad news is I took it out yesterday after the weather cleared up and after about 10 minutes the app disconnected.  I hit pause on the RC and positioned the Mavic at a point I felt it would be safe to bring back the app and then flew some more.  Home point stayed where it was at launch.  On the second flight it disconnected twice.  When I first got the Mavic I updated to .400 and all was well.  Everything since .500 has been problematic.  
Phone:  Samsung S7 with android 7.0 plus May update; DJI GO 4 V 4.0.7; Firmware V 01.03.0700

UPDATE:  I flew the mavic today using my wife's 9.7 inch Samsung Galaxy S2 and it was all wonderful!  Same firmware, same DJI GO 4 app., and same Android OS.  I flew only two times, but all the way down to a little under 30%.  I did POI and Active Track, recording video, as well as flying it out to where it was difficult to see (about 800ft.) Video had minimal lag.  
As a result, I am going to revisit my Samsung S7, but try a few things like:
            put the display in 1920 x 1080 vs the higher resolution (as the instructions say this draws more power, so I assume that means extra processing)
            Turn off wifi and blue tooth when flying, (not sure if putting it in Airplane mode would be good or not - ? cut off mapping info?
            Remove a bunch of apps I don't use anymore or rarely.
            try the lower USB Port

This update has locked my APP Hangar 36, i'm downdrading it asap

You probably have but i will ask anyhow, Have you tried updating via phone app and only using cellular data to download and update? reason im asking is that it always fails on me when using WiFi to update.
but cell data works fine.... maybe this will help other if not you.

I was having issues upgrading firmware through WiFi.
Please disconnect WiFi and turn everything off and back on using only mobile phone data.
Mine updated fine this way. Please try it.

I have tried this, too. Reinstalled DJI Assistant 2 on Windows 10 - Purged every folder (e.g. AppData). Used another native USB-Port. Created a new DJI Account and tried to upgrade directly to .0700. Same error as before. Stuck at 57% -> 2 Reboots -> fail!

Your solution worked.  I do not know if it was the clean reinstall, the battery ballet, or the combination of the two that worked, but I have everything upgraded to v 0.0700!
