Buzzyone, can you fly it beyond the 50/30 mtr borders when you use your goggles and RC only (no smartphone connected to the controller)?
I.e. would it consider the goggles-software an app and hence let it fly normally...
Here are my findings:
If you start up the aircraft and the RC only, your flight is restricted to 30M Altitude and 50M distance.
If you start up the aircraft with the DJI Go 4 App running, disconnect the App, the aircraft will fly unrestricted, within the parameters that were set in the App prior to the disconnect.
If the aircraft is flying and the App is disconnected the aircraft continues to fly within the parameters set previously.
If the app is reconnected then it connects as normal and nothing has changed, the home point is not updated it remains as was when the aircraft took off. The app must download this from the aircraft.
All of this is with the latest App and .800 firmware. iOS on iPad Mini 4.
I have also noticed that the braking has been softened in the none sport modes to prevent gimbal shudder when stopping rapid flight. Sport mode seems to be as it was.
I also noticed that the precision landing (where the aircraft descends to around 50cm then pauses before landing) seems to get disabled for some reason, I will need to explore why this is on another flight, it may be with me disconnecting the App mid flight. I also need to test the Goggles I expect that these are 'an approved device' and there will be no 30/50 restrictions. I need more space to test the Goggles! |
