I am new to photo/video editing and would like someone to take a look at one of my pics and make some sugestions on what to do better. Thanks in advance.

Looking at the picture you've taken my first comments would be to try and cut down what you see in the background.  Although the flowers are quite stunning your eye is drawn to so many other elements - the window, the shutters, the gravel etc...  Ideally the background would be made up of maybe just the leaves allowing the pink flowers to contrast in colour against the background.
