isn't that the recording time it is showing?

it is gopro recording time currently is on the left, total gopro remaining time on the right.

Thanks for your post.  I did not know about the GoPro timers in the Black Pearl display.

The on screen display is from the Gopro you can shut it off, here is a video that shows you how
