Just got home from the park. Drone was abut 300 ft high, 400 ft away. Pressed return to home. It returned overhead, slowly descended, and then stopped flying about 50 feet about the ground. Crash landing. Gimble broke off, and a few propellers are damaged. Ugh!
Can I send it back?

First

1. Open a support case with DJI on the web site, they'll want it back to repair it, then either bill you or accept it was their fault
2. Upload your logs to the web so everyone here can trawl them and guess what the problem was
3. Debate endlessly what you did wrong, didn't do wrong, why it crashed, ufo's, bird strikes, battery failure
4. Get your drone back from DJI and carry on

Also don't forget to mention how incompetent the repair and customer service are when they return your p3 and it's still broken.  Just kidding.

Sorry about your crash. We all would like to learn from experiences like this. Upload the files or tell us what you found out. From your initial description, looks like everything was good till the crash. Did you run out of battery?
