Lost the Mavic today in a grass field with just a few inches of grass and was unexpectedly a real hassle to locate it (more than an hour and lucky the grass was not any higher).

There should be a locator function in the remote/app which makes the mavic beep and flash all lights.

Also a "take me to last recorded position" function on the remote/app would be genius, so the app would guide you to it.

It's called Find my Drone and it is already  a part of the Dji Go4 app and Litchi .
