Has anyone else run into this issue ? I can open (play) mp4 from my parrot bebop and other sources but not the ones from the inspire.
I am on windows 7 pro.

Try googeling a "Codec Pack windows 7"....Because there's are so many* it's best if you choose and safer.

You may have inadvertently turn off your inspire while recording.  Put back into inspire and start and stop a new video... Now try... This may "fix" the file that isn't working...

No problems playing back Inspire videos on my PC running 8.1. You may need to update your system software.

Try VLC ....its a free download ....

I had to drop resolution to 1080 p to get media player to work. If  I am in 4k it will not play them.

I had the same problem, but here is what I ran in to.  I have a Windows 7 operating system on my computer.  I wasn't able to directly click on the video  and have it play in windows media player but if I was using windows media gallery to view the photos, if the next file was a video it would then  play.  Although choppy it did work.  Quicktime for me was a bust since things were still too choppy. I ended up downloading gopro studio for free and that helps a ton.  It does take some time to load but it was worth the download for me.
  

try KMP player, its free app and can play any video source. it works perfect for me.

Mine is the same - when I go to 4K, I have to use VLC

It's a free download and works great for me-
