I did a 3673m round trip, about 17 mins flight time.  Tested a whole bunch of stuff and everything worked perfectly.  Yes, the app did ask me to login again, which I did and that was that.  I ran it in Airplane mode so had no internet while I was testing it.  Everything was fine.

You may be part of an ignorant generation that simply doesn't care about your personal freedoms but those with concerns shouldn't be laughed at. No one suggested the world would end, however many of us do not like being tracked and restricted policed by a company thousands of miles away. It is up to the person to follow the rules. DJI is walking a slipper slope with this. I recognize the FAA's rules and regulations, not DJI's.

But equally no one had a gun to my head making me buy their product so I'm cool with it.

And you are apparently form the ignorant generation that automatically make assumptions.  I was speaking of the fact my drone still works and functions properly.  Take your ignorance elsewhere.

While we are on the subject, stop assuming a company is here to spy on you.  That is not the case at all.  Unless you work for DJI, in the exact department that is spying on you; stop making outlandish claims about a company that doesn't even care who YOU are.  Why don't you worry about the cell phone that you use eveyday.  Not too concerned about them spying on you huh?  Go troll a forum for your cell phone provider.  Take if off this forum.

you will not (and will not permit others to) remove, deface, or otherwise obstruct any regulatory or certification markers affixed to DJI Hardware; and (d) each DJI Hardware item will only be repaired subject to DJI’s express written authorization and in accordance with DJI’s instructions and requirements.

Doesn't matter that you own it, you can't deface it or repair it on your own.

I get that for the repair, the defacing thing is what struck me more, that they are trying to tell me what I can do visually to something I own.

I guess that's to do with the warranty too because it means they can't refurb the product and resell?

"obstruct any regulatory or certification markers affixed to DJI Hardware"

They aren't saying you can't make your bird visually appealing.

I just checked my updates section on the App Store and it was there.  I updated with no issue.  Disappointed the update doesn't appear to have any new Spark features.  Some obviously can't carry over without hardware changes but some of the features such as the quick shot, panorama features, and newer version of tap fly I would think could be carried over without much effort.  I noticed a dynamic RTH feature added for inspire...  why not Mavic Pro too?

You can't remove the serial number from a gun, or the vehicle identification number from your car, and you can never, ever, under any circumstances remove the tag from your mattress.

It's all just hysteria.  You are 100% spot on with what you said.  Most everyone lives everyday with no privacy.  I mean, 90% of your vehicles these days have GPS.  Someone knows where you are at all times if they cared to check.
