So, this is a brand new Phantom 2 vision + system. I read the entire manual and it told me to check for new firmware upgrades. So I did. I upgraded the firmware on the quadcopter using the Phantom 2 Vision + Software Assistant software on my iMac. All seemed to go well with that. Terrific!

The manual said to run the Phantom RC Assistant Software. I ran that. I get a green light and a blinking blue light on the bottom of the screen just as I did when I ran the Software Assistant for the copter. However, the blue light never stops blinking.

The little green light on the hand held RC controller does not go on when I power it up. The controller will not perform any function when the copter is on. It is as if the controller went dead.

Naturally, I replaced the batteries with brand new ones. Did not help.

I am a newbie at this and can use some assistance from the pros
