Integrated Zoom (or FLIR) Lens To Come?

Hi,

I've started a small cummercial UAS company in upstate NY, and I'm in the process of buying either an Inspire 1 or an Inspire 2. I love the Inspire 2, and I'd love to give DJI my business, but I wish the Inspire 2 had some of the really important lenses used for industrial inspections (ie. z30, z3, xt). I know that the image processing occurs within the Inspire 2, so I get that the Inspire 1 cameras aren't compatible - my question is, are these types of cameras planned for the Inspire 2?? If so, when will they be released?! This would convince me to get the Inspire 2!

You'd be a lot better off looking at the Matrice series of drones, coupled with a real thermal imaging camera.

Inspire 2 is a cinematography unit if you want commercial you will need the Inspire1/Matrice2XX.

Good to know. I didn't know if DJI would try to expand the market for the inspire 2 or not. Sounds like Inspire 1 is the way to go for now - maybe matrice in the future.

I believe it will but there has been issues with the Z3, you may be better off getting an X5 with a zoom lens.

Presently FLIR doesn't have any cameras compatible with the I2

Had it for 5 months.

Mine is on an Inspire 1
But I would think that it is compatible with the Matrice 200 as they list the Zenmuse XT which uses the same mount as all of the other Zenmuse cameras. (X3, X5, X5R, and Z3)
