Assuming you are talking about a Phantom R/C, then we need to know which model you have and which your friend has.
Not all Phantoms use the same transmission system.
So to tell you for sure we need to know the details...

Sorry...both are phantom 3 standard

If they are both Standards then no problem. You just have to go through the linking process each time you switch back and forth.
