Maybe it's best to sit this one out and not fly untill things cool down. The report says it's causing HF radio fadouts over the Americas. It's also quite possible that the magnetic field gets disturbed.

Solar cycle 24 / Sunspot 2297 / two m class flares past days and this morning an X class 2.2  Flare ... glancing blow expected .
this can sometimes mess with compass and GPS.  I've been using (Solar Monitor) from the iOS  App Store for several years it's exellent , also see ( Solarham ) exellent site.

I've been using the solar activity monitor app for android for a couple of weeks now. I used to think only cloudy weather could mess with gps accuracy, but these solar storm could be much worse! The compass could also be affected.
