Today at maximum altitude in Muonio, over the clouds. 100 m away and 650m high (from sea level). No videolink problems.
Weather was +1 and humidity 100%. Up there were minus degrees, when drone came back down gimbal had little frozen fog over it.
Lessons learned: Switch off the front lights to avoid them to be seen in picture if lens has fog on it.

Did a boat chase this summer, what do you guys think?

One flight today in Lapland in finland. GOt one nice shot where clouds are over the hill with same shape than hill. Front  you see my summer cottage construction area.
Temp around -1.5 Celscius. Wind 2-5m/s.

My back yard

This is a great thread and I really need to get the beginner setting turned off on mine and give it a try.  I do have a question though as I look at some of these and see birds flying......is it that we stay away from them or does the noise of the drone scare them off?  Thanks

I once had an eagle (or some other sort of large bird) trying to attack my drone. It scared the hell out of me, I must say.
On the other hand, I sometimes fly among flocks of seagulls: the footage looks quite cinematographic to me, and the birds apparently don't show any intention to take the copter down ;)

How were you able to go 150 meters higher than the maximum of 500 meters set by the firmware?

From sea level.  Landscape where I was is about 150 meters above sea level
I think I got 501 meters from home point just for the second

I got a new S900, and for its first job we took it out to film my friend, and windsurfing guru Dan Cole, using  gh4.
Distances of 200-1000m, no fpv, just dual output from the camera

This is my home town Grise Fiord Nunavut Canada population 127, our only way to go out of town is by small airplane, foods comes in by plane twice a week also the mail. in the 1950s the federal government took two inuit (eskimos) families from northern quebec and relocate them here to mark as sovereignty for canadas north and were promise that they will be return home but never did, so here we are now in Canadas most northern community (village), really nice place to live. a soda can cost 2.50, green pepper 8.00 steak 28.00 1 lbs ground beef 8.00 1 lbs butter 9.00 i guess you got the point but we mostly eat wild animals

Watching your video,  the word "Moist" comes to mind.  Also "Cold".  But quite beautiful.  Here,  everything,  even plants ,  have either fangs,  claws,  stickers,  needles,  teeth,  stingers,  stickers or all of the above.

Today in Morning I saw 4 swans to landing in my Back Yard. So decided quickly shoot some video of them. I was bit hurry to airport to travel back to Germany.
Male is aware and ready to attack. So I did not dear to go closer.
Wind was about 5m/s  and very gusty. I was surprised how well Phantom handled that.

Nice video though.
In start those speed ups and slow downs showed little bit "nervous" to me.
That tilt&shift effect was great!

Thanks for your input. The runner was followed manually. I agree the speedups were not optimal. In my next video I am using Speed Ramping to speed up and slow down more smoothly.
