Saw a cute trick one day on YouTube. Learn to shoot some of your sequences while flying away from the subject. When a quadcopter flies forward, it tilts nose down. Of course, when you stop, everything goes back to level. If you fly backwards, relatively speaking, the back tilts and the front (where your camera is located) goes up. There's a better chance the props won't show up as you're flying away from the subject.
The other day on my other quad (a Blade 350 QX3) I adjusted the tilt of the GoPro camera. I moved it from pointing about 45 degrees down to almost perfectly level. The props are then totally in the way. Makes for lousy videos.
The other possibility is to shoot as wide/high as possible, then crop the entire video so the props are literally cut out of the picture. |
