Has anyone used recovery floats for flying over water ?

I don't personally but I've occasionally seen people mention using them and sometimes even provide photos. Do you have a question about using them, or are you just curious if anyone else already does?

I would like to know if you landed in a stormy sea and the drone rolled over would it still be recoverable (I guess so but not sure)

I have thankfully not had to test the GetterBack Rod Recovery System's functionality with my Inspire 1, but I have two attached to it just in case.

I always attach a getter back when flying over water.

Isn't there someone out there making pontoons for drones like there is for seaplanes?  It's probably less pracitcal for a MP since there probably needs to be some additional extension from the body to the floats, but for an Inspire?  Screw recovery floats, let's land on water!!!!

Is the inspire not ruined anyway if it gets wet?
