I'm finding the "connect or be restricted to 30m up, 500m away" clause in the new update a total pain in the 'tail fin'. I often fly where internet connections are flakey.

When I updated I remember seeing a message flash up saying that I could return to the old system at any time, I think it said "using DJI assistant'.

Could some kind soul please run through the process of returning to the version that didn't require an internet connection?

You just need to connect your Mavic and RC (separately) to a PC and use Assistant 2 to downgrade the firmware.
