When DJI announced the Phantom 3 a few weeks ago, Phantom 1& 2 owners were probably bummed out. After all, the new Phantom 3 included Lightbridge functionality at less than the cost of the Lightbridge option . . . if you wanted Lightbridge, it was almost as if the Phantom 3 was free!

However, today DJI announced the availability of a new Phantom 3 body, without peripherals.  Is this the upgrade option that Phantom 1 & 2 owners have been waiting for, or is the RC an issue?

Not much good without the new remote control that goes with the Phantom 3.  Also, kind of a waste / under utilization of the other Phantom 3 capabilities
