Never having done this before, I was keen to see what it's all about.
Set up the drone on a stable surface (roof of parked car) and waited for sundown.
No flying involved for this first experiment. 2 sec interval, 500 frames. Mode Free.
Not quite sure what I was expecting, but even with the drone rock steady, there's some
gimbal movement. I had pre-focussed on the distant trees.
Observations and tips welcome.

Good morning DJI Stephen. It was just an experiment to learn more about the facility. I was moderately pleased with it, but I need more practice

Thanks DAF. I was actually expecting greater stability since the drone was rock steady of course, but the gimbal must have been reacting to cloud movements or something?

I love the results that hyper lapses gives out but a ten-second clip can take up half a battery so few and far between is fine

Yeah that took 16 minutes, and even with the drone not flying it burned through 40%.  Not an energy-efficient mode

Haha no. I went for a walk up and down the lane. There was no-one else in the car, and there was no wind.

That makes it a Timelapse. Technically speaking.
And then we have motion timelapse (where the camera rotates from a tripod / rail etc.).
And hyperlapse, where the camera moves over a longer distance (walking, flying, driving, etc.)

But who cares about the terms
