When I shoot normal 4K video I'm getting a 60,000 Bit rate. When shooting HDR 4K I'm getting 7-80,000 Bit Rate.  How do I get 100K bit rate or higher? Surely the camera does better then 60K?

I get 130 Kbit/s when shooting 4K @ 60 fps.
Never heard anyone getting as low as 60 Kbit/s

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. If you are shooting a 4k video, 100 Mbps bitrate can be achieved with these resolutions.

4K/16:9 3840*2160: 48/50/60 in H.264 and 48/50/60/100/120 in H.265
4K/4:3 4096*3072: 24/25/30/48/50/60 It can be achieved using H.265, this resolution is not supported in H.264

Should you have other inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach us. Thank you for your valued support.

Are you shooting in full sun, bright day? I found when lighting conditions are not optimal, the bitrate can drop by even 30-40%.

So then no 100 Bit when shooting 30 fps? 4K/16:9 3840*2160

If outdoor just shoot in 60 fps or shoot in 4:3 h.265 if you need 30 fps and higher bitrate.

Actually, if you want higher bitrate, you need to shoot in h264 as opposed to h265, but h265 can provide the same visual quality as h264 using lower bitrates.

You can see that not only codec (H264 vs H265) affects the bitrate, but also the lighting conditions.

Outdoor: H264 / 30FPS = 100 Mbit

Same scene, outdoor: H265 / 30FPS = 90 Mbit

Indoor (about 60W bulb): H264 / 30FPS = 68 Mbit

Same scene, indoor: H265 / 30FPS  = 52 Mbit
