Hi,
1. Each flight controller has it's individual LED unit and contain different functions. It's not recommended to mix them.
2. Before soldering please aware that thus will lose official warranty.
I ripped the cable of my A2 led module and purchased a new one. The new one blinks correctly but I can not get it to connect to my DJI Assistant app.
I have booted the drone many times and also reseted the BTU info with the A2 Assistant software and laptop many many times. Still I can't connect to the Assistant app.
Is it possible that the original LED is bound with the A2 and replacement ones don't connect to the Assistant app because of that? Or is my replacement LED faulty?

The original LED is not bound to the craft, so a replacement should be possible. It may be an issue with the LED port on the A2 itself. Are you able to try another A2 to see if the new LED works?
