I don't think question is if a 128 will work... The question is, why would you want one? A 32GB card has the capacity to record in 4K for about 3 batteries. How much do you WANT to have on one card? That's like leaving pictures on your camera for a full year before making a backup. If you are landing the drone to change the battery, it is safest to swap the SD card right then as well. Why send up your recorded video with the drone, and risk losing it?
Now, in terms of read/write speed of the card... A class 10 is going to be fast enough to write 4K video. So why would anyone want a faster card? That's easy... So you can get the data off of it quicker. Who wants to sit there for 10 minutes while the video is copying off the card, when you can do it faster?
Lastly, cards don't last forever. They just go bad, for no conceivable reason, so spending less for 4 32GB cards or 8 16GB cards is still a better plan than buying a single 128GB card.
Think of it this way... If my my kids are out selling popcorn, or candy bars for a school fundraiser, and go out on 25 minute routes in our neighborhood... Each time they come home, I am going to collect the money they have received before sending them back out. Sending that collected cash back out with them would be just plain stupid. Best to get those "assets" to a safe place as soon as it's collected. Now, apply the same logic to your video.
