Since downloading DJI GO newest version I'm unable to find the update for the RC. it says I'm currntly on version 1.6.0. Everything seems fine other than the C1 button promps some menu about communicating with DJI app, and I cannot get the horizon tilt to respond with the C2 button like it used to?
Does the Remote version has anything to do with this update?
Mine is GL300C, but the post states: "Improved video stream quality when using GL300A Remote Controller to record 2.7K video."
Same problem here. It happened to me after upgrading to ios 10. I cant level my horizon with C1 and my target mark is way to the top left LOL, RC doesnt respond at times. HELP!!!
DJI Mindy - could you please advise us of what the problem is? I do not see the update you described and other people are anxiously waiting some reply from DJI.
As for the C1 issue, please close the DJI Go app, then connect your aircraft with the RC and press the C1 button.
The notification saying "DJI Go would like to communicate with the C1 Button" will appear.
Click "allow" and the DJI Go app will open automatically.
After that, you will no longer get the popup.
And please try to restart the app to see if you would get the update notice.
Please try to restart the app and make sure the device is connect to network successfully.
If you still cannot update the RC, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks for your feedback.
I have brought this to the attention of our support team.
And it's fix now.Could you please try again and let me know the result?
OK I know this is a total newbie question, but How can I see the update versions on both the RC and the drone??? I've had the RC updated just this night, but is tis the same ver. I'm seeing in the DJI Assistant? meaning the RC or the drone version???
The fix mentioned by Mindy is just a temporary fix for that single session. I contacted DJI directly regarding the problem with the C1 button and was told they are aware of the issue and trying to fix it. If you shutdown the controller and app and then re-open the issue with the C1 button returns, at least in my case.
Just re-tried the firmware download and it worked the first try. However the C1 issue is still present as this was caused by the recent DJI GO App update from my understanding.
Could you please clarify which Phantom model you have?If there are updates for your aircraft and RC, the app will remind you.
And you could check the release notes in our DJI websites.
Early (brave) beta testers,
Please let the rest of us - nervous- know if this update reduces the range on the P4, or does it improve the streaming video, if you had issues previously.
Also, if you use Litchi, does litchi still work with this update?
Ironically, the GL300A/P3A is putting out more power and it has improved streaming video performance than the GL300C/P4; so I was hoping to see that they improved the GL300C/P4. Is it a typo maybe?? Did they mean GL300C?
DJI please confirm that this update helps video streaming on the GL300C/P4 as well?????(so users do not have to use range extenders)
"What’s New?
Improved video stream quality when using GL300A Remote Controller to record 2.7K video.
Enhanced Remote Controller and mobile device connection stability. "
The first bit won't help you, but the second might.
My understanding is that the GL300A video stream from the aircraft has been improved, but only when aircraft was recording 2.7k video. Looks like there was a problem that they have fixed.
Presumably the video stream from the GL300A works OK when aircraft recording in other modes.
The enhanced RC to Device connection stability presumably will help iron out some of the artifacts seen on some devices.
