Seems like DJI is shipping much faster now, looks as though they are on late October orders for us here in the USA. Gives me hope that i will have my drone by Christmas, (ordered Nov 1st)

Heads up, not sure if others already stated something similar, just thinking of a logical distribution way.
My theory as to why they are shipping so much to North America (Canada & USA) has probably to do with the quantity of units ordered.. compared to other Continents, this one had the biggest impact. Leaving DJI to ship more to these locations while also processing the same % to other continents. With North America (mainly USA) buying the majority, their % sent would be higher compared to those on other regions.
Out of lets say 1000 units bought
500 were from North America
200 from Asia
200 Europe
100 Australia
So lets say they make 125 drones per week (8 weeks worth to reach 1000 drones bought (to keep their well worded statement)),
Math= total of 1000 Drones/ 8 weeks = 125 drone needed to be made per week.
North America would be getting 62 drones sent a week
Asia and Europe would get 25 to each (total of 50)
And Australia getting 12 to 13
Add those all up, 62+25+25+13 (rounded) = 125
125*8=1000 drones.

*As for their major distributers, im sure they have another manufacturing line for that, if not im sure you could include that into the equation, move some numbers around and get a less satisfying number.

As it has seemed through this forum, that's the way its been going; considering the lack of shipments to Australia and the majority coming to North America. Correct me if I'm wrong, or give me criticism, this is just a sketch.

Ken - can you please feedback to whoever needs to hear this. It is clear that there is no line. Orders from mid-October are being fulfilled for the US whereas earlier orders for delivery to other regions are not.

There is no evident single line or order priority. Some clarity is required, even if it is the seemingly obvious 'there is a line per region' or 'some regions are being prioritised over others'.

This is what it says:
"For Mavic Pro orders received before November 3, 2016, we will do our best to clear them all within the next seven to eight weeks."
So 7-8 weeks is not up yet.

Yes, but you also said here on the forum that they'd be handled in the sequence of the orders. This is not happening. Later US orders are being prioritised over earlier European orders.

We just want some honesty and have expectations properly set.

mine said shipped on my order page yesterday (13th Dec) and DHL text says its due to arrive here at my house on Friday (16th Dec) so all in around 3 days

When did you order your Mavic? I ordered on the 16th of Oct to N.Ireland. I have been out of pocket £1348.00 for 8 weeks now for the fly more package and the Care insurance plan. Can't decide what to spend my 1% loyalty rebate on, it really is Chrismtas come early.

There cannot be an exact sequence as their are different regions and I don't know how their shipping logistics operate as to which regions orders are shipped to and the order of them.

Ordered the ( Fly More Combo ) on 11/16/2016 from DJI. They only Authorized my full payment but didn't actually take out the money, Until today, they just took Full Payment, which means in 5 days they will be shipping my order, & should receive delivery with in a week from then. Very excited!
Yesterday I was on hold with DJI's Customer Service Chat for over an hour in hopes to get more info, all they could tell me is once they take full payment it takes 5 days for them to ship. I'll keep everyone updated once I get Tracking and estimated delivery.

Well, I guess that this is the information we're asking DJI to provide, as a blanket 7-8 weeks has proved overly optimistic for some regions and too cautious for others.

If there are different sequences for different regions then it shouldn't be anymore challenging to do and produce an accurate estimate compared to working out an overall average that ends up being accurate for nobody.

That's not possible. I had the same. Ordered the Fly More Combo on the 9th November and had the Authorized payment status set on the order until the 6th December when they actually toke the payment via PayPal Express. 8 days since then and no signs of the order shipping yet. It supposedly takes an average of around 8 weeks for an Mavic Pro order to be shipped out. So like many others, you have quite a bit of waiting to do. Be patient.

Many people have recived their mavic within the 8 weeks and its still not 8 weeks yet. So it has been Accurate for 100% of orders so far. Great job DJI  {:4_181:}{:4_181:}

Just got my shipping confirmation this morning.  Ordered December 2nd from Newegg and it will be here Friday Dec 16.

Could you help me out.....I ordered a second Mavic Fly More Combo from NewEgg when I heard of folks getting theirs quicker than ordering direct from DJI. I ordered mine on 12/05 and this has been the status of my order since then. Could you please tell me if yours looked the same up until you received the shipping notification or if your status changed to something else after you placed the order? I just want to make sure my order is actually being processed.

FWIW: when I ordered it, the NewEgg website said it would be shipped on 1/1/17. It now says orders placed today will be shipped on 1/13/17.

Of course they're asking the same "self centred questions", they've paid for a product with a promise delivery time and it's an extreme fail. They have the right to be annoyed at the situation and secondly how it's been handled.

You're an idiot.

I don't recall seeing anywhere that a shipping time was promised to anyone.

I disagree on the idiot part and see no need for name calling, but if you must, I'd rather be an idiot than an impatient brat with limited reading comprehension.

You're able to get an idea of when your order will ship because you're in the US, and from users posting it is clear that US orders are being fulfilled far more quickly than other regions who are not so fortunate. In some of these, UK and Australia are notable, the 7-8 weeks has already been breached.

It has been confirmed here already that orders are being prioritised in the order in which they were made, but that's simply not true as many later US orders are being fulfilled while other region orders are still left waiting. What's worse - these earlier orders had their payment taken immediately.

Maybe there should be separate shipping update threads for the different regions.  I'm sorry there have been issues and you guys are waiting longer and I wish someone at DJI had a better answer for all of you.  That said, asking questions that have been answered time and time again (even if the answer is "I don't know") isn't doing anyone any good.  Also, holding Ken responsible for all the negative actions of DJI is just terrible.  He has extremely limited power (including not being able to publicly agree with you for fear of getting fired) so just lay off already.  The mother ship will post an update if they feel like it, which seems unlikely at this point.  It's a crummy way to run a business, but we're the ones still willing to give them our money despite mistreatment so ultimately we are enabling them to continue this behavior.

Hi Ken, I will ask this even a thousand times, if that is necessary to get an answer.

How many orders did DJI get, how many items are currently produced, and when will you serve the German market. Waiting is okay, not getting to know boundaries for the estimated waiting times is not. And if you cannot answer this, then go to the people around you that can. This is not our job, it is yours. I am really upset.

You can ask him 5000 times and he won't be able to answer it for you.

It is not HIS job.  He is a forum moderator.  He is trying to be as helpful as possible, which is difficult to do when you ask him to do things that are impossible.  Lay off him and start spamming China, they are the only ones with answers.

Also, they are under exactly zero obligation to reveal their manufacturing and shipping status.  It sure would be a positive form of customer service but I think it's pretty clear at this point that is very low on their priority list.  The only way that type of behavior is changed is if it affects their bottom line, and based on all the whiners on here unwilling to cancel their orders and buy an inferior drone from another company, I'd say they have nothing to worry about at the moment.

Here's a thought regarding the disparity in shipping times, somewhat related to the theory posted previously.

As I understand it, some portion of the software is region specific regarding restrictions/lockouts and GPS/GLONASS priority.  Perhaps there was a larger percentage of orders from the US and as such, that specific manufacturing line is higher capacity than the smaller regions (by order quantity).

Also, regarding Australia, it seems as though DJI is having some major issues with customs so maybe they have slowed orders to that country while they get those issues sorted.

Ordered mine October 25th from Southern California (Fly More Combo from DJI's website) Just checked order status, "Shipped". No email, no notification when this was shipped, YET. No big deal, I am a patient person. I followed this forum and another Mavic forum, learning everything good and bad, wrong and right. The timing is perfect, I think I'm prepared. If you think you are getting screwed by DJI, cancel the order, get a refund. They will sell yours to someone else. DJI and GoPro were in a drone war trying to beat one another to market, deal with huge demand like adults, this in not a toy, this is not a Cabbage Patch Doll for Xmas, there will be more than enough in a few months. Proceed with your debate kids....

Selling a product with a preorder date is a contract of that item being available from that aforementioned date.

DJI acknowledges this by their initial apology for being unable to deliver. Quote from Ken "When we announced Mavic Pro and began accepting pre-orders, we expected to deliver the first units in mid-October." - #learntoread

Expecting an item you have paid for within a reasonable timeframe isn't the action of a brat, it's the action of a receiptiant of paid goods not received.

Are you Ken's Mum or something?

It is entirely appropriate to challenge a message that Ken's put out when it has proven to be incorrect (it is over 8 weeks since my order and that of many other users here, while others are receiving their orders far more quickly than 8 weeks), allowing him to escalate within DJI if he sees fit and DJI want to ensure they communicate properly with their customers. Nobody's asking for Ken to be fired or anything, so stop being such a drama queen.
