Real shame......
I asked for version 0.35 to be sent to me weeks ago.
Pm's sent to both DJI representatives on this thread. Only one got back to me asking for my account email. I provided this almost immediately after the reply was sent and then from there no action......
(still waiting for 0.35)
Tried trouble shooting the problem by myself via other posts/facebook pages, multiple devices and PC's along with help from other mavic owners in person to no avail.
Ended up having to run RC and AC on version 0.55 as that was the only firmware I could get both on, otherwise id always get the "inconsistent firmware" notification when trying to fly.
Yesterday, I tried to fly it, thankfully this time in an open field. I took off, home point saved, everything all green with GPS and ready to fly. Flew directly up to 20m. AC suddenly disconnected from RC (App did NOT crash) and began flying on its own, up to around 40m high (home point is set to 30m, so if it was trying to fly home it had no business at 40m) flying in all directions and altitudes. When it finally stopped about 3-5 minutes later the AC hovered at about 3m altitude and said that it was landing on the RC (app screen still showing disconnection) and RC saying its trying to connect/landing. However, after waiting for another 2 minutes all it was doing is hovering. I then tried powering down the RC and restarting, this only connected for about 20 seconds before disconnecting again and still not landing. The only way to retrieve this was to get a friend of mine which is thankfully abnormally tall to pull it down from its hover position.
After somewhat successfully retrieving the drone. We powered everything down, restarted my phone entirely and tried again. (without flying)
Before pressing the "Go Fly" option in the app home screen the app kept showing a brief disconnect/connected notification continuously.
This was enough to quash any and all confidence I had sending $2000 worth of equipment into the sky again!
I've since taken everything back to where I bought it from 14 days ago and they are now sending to DJI. Such a shame ill be without it for, what I'm told, will be 15-26 BUSINESS days!
Really regretting the purchase of the Spark I have coming now too............ |
