After updating my firmware and iOS software I can no longer fly over 30m. I've manually reset the max altitude and distance so that isn't the issue.Does anyone know what the changes to 'no fly zone' mentioned is? I'm flying in a area bordering a built up area, around 3 miles from an airport and 4 miles from approach flight path. Could that be the problem? (Was able to fly at 30m+ previously)
Do you have the latest app? If so, have you logged back into your account? If not that will prevent you from flying higher than 30 meters or 50 meters from your takeoff point.

Ditto! Log into DJI again. Restrictions will be removed.

Yes I've downloaded latest app and linked back to the drone. Is that what you mean by 'logged back in' or do I need to do something additional?
If you installed the latest Go app it should have come up with a banner asking you to log into your account. This is different than linking to the drone.
DJI posted about this when the new version came out.
Please try to install the latest version's app and then you need to log in the app with your DJI account or the drone will have a limitation of 30 meters' height and 50meters' distance.
Hey Thor what if you do what u say, which I did and had 2 successful flights (exceeded the 30/50) then on the 3rd flight 2wks later if confined Mr to 30/50 again.????????

I'm now wondering if the restriction is related to the Geofencing feature. The area I was trying to fly in is a warning zone (dark green). The restriction for this says ‘ Flight disabled by default but can be self authorised via prompts in the app’. I didn’t receive any prompts though-it said safe to fly. Is the restriction likely to be whats limiting me to 30 metres do you think ?
I had the same problem, I unstalled the app then re-installed it, signed back in and took off with no problems, 400 feet high.. give that a try and let me know how it goes.

What happen if there is no internet next time you have this 30 50 limit. It is not one time login, this limit is back when you don't expect it.
RstHelen-did you first just update the app to latest version rather than uninstall/reinstall? That's what I did. Then logged out and back in.Did yours need to be completely reinstalled?
You don't think it's the geofencing issue I mention above?
