Soft focus

Not too happy with the outcome of this test.
I was hoping to get rid of the AF time (and eliminate the errors that AF can cause) by setting the Mini 3 Pro to infinity.
Unfortunately, the images came out soft.

I did have a Freewell CPL 32 on, but the shutterspeed was 1/250s (which should be fast enough).

So either the CPL is causing this unsharpness or the 'infinity' is not as usable as I was hoping.

This is a crop at 100%

Sharpness and noise reduction are both set to 0.

The video footage looks a bit better, but still not sharp. So I will have to dig in more.

Autofocus works well; to be reliable, you need to point to the subject on the screen. If I did this I had no problems.

I've noticed that tapping the screen to autofocus works fine, except when the zoom function is applied.

It does, but it is one thing extra that can go wrong.

And a risk of losing a shot. Especially since I mostly do AEB panos, so a lot of focus in between.
